Frequently Asked Questions: New Website Project

At Creative Aspects we’ve been designing websites for over 20 years. In that time we’ve amassed extensive design experience and coding skills that help to make up a great website.

We’ve put this FAQ page together for anyone who’s been thinking that their business needs a new website and we’ve answered many of the questions we’ve been asked over the years. Hopefully, this answers your questions too, but we’re always just a call or email away if you have any others.

How much does a new website cost?

Let’s be honest, this is normally the number one question we get asked so it makes sense to put it first.

The cost of a website varies depending on the size, features and complexity of the site. Work out your budget, be honest about it and we can tell you what we are able to do for you.

What industries do you design websites for?

Our clients include companies from a wide range of industries including IT, education, health & fitness, photography, sport & leisure activities, hotels, estate agents, manufacturing, construction, retail, recruitment, tourism, transport and more.

Check out our portfolio for some recent examples.

Do I have to be local to work with you?

We are based in Harrogate and work with lots of clients across Yorkshire, but we’re also happy to work with businesses across the UK and further afield. Location is not an issue in 2021!

Why do you build your websites in WordPress?

WordPress is the most popular content management system for a reason. We talked in more detail about why we love WordPress in a previous post, but briefly, it offers the following benefits:

  • Easy to use
  • Constantly updated with new features
  • SEO friendly
  • Thousands of plugins to extend the functionality
  • Future proof

How much input do I have in the process?

A lot! Your input and insights are crucial to the process.

We’ve talked about Discovery being the first step in our web design process before. Part of that step is our website worksheet that we send out to every client. This is your opportunity to tell us what the site should achieve, what functionality you need, and how you want it to look. The more information you give us here, the better the solution we will be able to provide.

Who writes the content for the site?

As you’re the expert on your business, it makes sense that it comes from you. If you need help, you can work with our copywriting partners to produce the final content.

Will I be able to update the site myself when it’s finished?

Yes, you can edit and add new content to your website.

Our expert WordPress training makes it easy for you to maintain. Even with no experience working with a content management system, after 60 minutes of hands-on training with Creative Aspects you’ll have a great grasp of how to edit existing content and add new content.

Do you offer ongoing help with the new site once it’s launched?

Yes! We provide ongoing monthly support for many of our clients that will give you added peace of mind and development support when you need it.

Check out our Website Care packages here.

How long does it take to build a website?

This completely depends on your requirements, the size of the website and complexity as well as how quick you can respond when we need your input. We will be able to give you a timeline once we have spoken with you and found out more about your project.

What are the payment terms for the design and development of my website?

Usually 50% in advance and 50% on completion of the project. Although please check our terms when you receive your website proposal in case this differs.
